our breeding stock are certified for their hips and eyes, along with
having
their knees and hearts checked. Documentation is available upon
request.
All puppies are sold on spay/neuter contracts, with limited registration. We do not sell dogs for show or breeding purposes. We do not sell puppies as presents or surprises for any occasion. |

typically
have breedings planned throughout the year. We also,
occasionally
have older puppies or young adults who, for whatever reason, did not
turn out for the show ring, and are available for placement as
well--these
animals have been/will be spayed and/or neutered, tested negative for
heartworm and internal parasites, current on all vaccinations, and microchipped for permanent identification--please check back with us or
feel free to contact us any time for information regarding any dogs
available
to qualified homes or any upcoming planned breedings for the future.
We
here at river wind encourage anybody who is interested in learning more
about shibas to come visit us and our dogs and see how they live and
how they might fit into your lifestyle. We are not just here to
sell puppies, but to educate prospective buyers about the breed and to
help them
understand what to expect if they decide to take that major step and
purchase one. This is a commitment being made potentially
for the next 14+ years and every aspect, pro or con, needs to
be taken into consideration. Whether you decide to purchase a
puppy from us or another reputable breeder, we want to make sure that you're
comfortable with the decision you make regarding the shiba being the
